Really nice, instrumental, progressive rock/ jazz rock from the guitarist/leader/composer of the very fine Spanish band October Equus. Here he channels things like The Muffins, Phil Miller/In Cahoots, Tipographica, Zappa, Planeta Imaginario, Forgas Band Phenomena, etc. but with some obvious African and Arabic musical influences/modes. Intricate compositions that still leave room for some personal explorations by the musicians. In addition to Angel's guitarwork, there's a keyboardist, bassist and drummer and a few guests. Colorful and exciting music that falls somewhere between jazz/rock and avant-progressive. Highly recommmended!
