"Mental Experience present a reissue of Cozmic Corridors self-titled album. Cozmic Corridors is an underground kraut-kosmische monster, recorded and produced circa 1972-73 in Cologne by Toby "The Mad Twiddler" Robinson for his Pyramid label. The album was apparently released as an ultra-limited handmade edition back in the early '70s, but no original copies have surfaced (editor's note: which tells you everything you need to know about whether or not this was ever really released back in the day...)....

“Crackology contains all new recordings of 13 songs that span the over 40 year career of the band, and the first time it has been available on CD.
Living In Reverse is 12 new genre-defying tunes from the group and a reissue of the 2018 CD.”

“From The Wood - the 20th studio album from Crack The Sky takes a turn with an almost all acoustic album. Acoustic guitars, piano, dobro, ukulele, banjo, accordion, mandolin, bass, toy piano, djembe, and drums. Introspective but still unique and progressive.
Much of the inspiration coming from one of the strangest of all times in our lives with isolation, separation, anxiety, all thrust upon us by the global condition. Music that inspires, enflames, and reassures with twists and turns...

Brand new release from these American prog/hard rock stalwarts, and cheerful and optimistic it most certainly is not. This features 4/5ths of the original lineup, with John Palumbo, Rick Witkowski, Joey D'Amico and Joe Macre all appearing.

One of the great, 'should have been huge' bands of the 70s and still making good music!

Crack The Sky is: John Palumbo, Rick Witkowski, Joey D'Amico, Bobby Hird, Dave DeMarco, & Glenn Workman.

"What happens when there is no nothing anymore? Nothing but the true beauty of music. This 2015 release brings you syncopated rhythms, searing guitars, sarcasm on the side, and simplicity in every melody. Now on the band's 40th anniversary Rolling Stone named CTS's first album as one of the 50...

I have a real soft spot for these guys and their first incarnation (1975-1980 or so) from my days selling records in Gaithersburg, MD at a shop that did a big biz in metal and hard rock. I guess you could say that they combined hard rock with melodic...

“In 1976 Rolling Stone called prog-rock pioneers Crack The Sky “one of year’s most impressive debuts.” Today, 40+ years later, the band releases a new studio album entitled Tribes, due out early 2021. The title track speaks volumes about modern society’s perpetual cultural divide, wherein each side believes its inalienable right to champion the only opinion that matters.
Named by Rolling Stone in their 2015 list of 50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums Of All Time and in Twenty 1970’s Albums Rolling Stone...

“Cranes is a brand new collaboration, a European project. Three extraordinary improvisors from Germany and France maintain their long term musical relations by dedicating themselves to cross-linked sonic experiments and the discursive use of forms. Their music is powerful and fragile at the same time.”

Here’s the deal: SOMEHOW I stumbled upon this excellent electronic music ensemble’s first release, the 12” EP ‘Netherfield Works’, which we stock and about which I said, “This is over 30' of music by a great electronic ensemble I never heard of before!
The first side is cyclical, hypnotic electronics with an early sound ala Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom. The second side adds drums and bass tones and operates more in a Neu! / Circle motorik + ....

This is a limited, three CD box set with a 24-page photo booklet, that is limited to 1,000 copies for the world by what I think is one of the best contemporary electronic outfits currently making music and sound.
Discs 2 & 3 include the complete full length tracks from Enclosures and Live Works.

"Standers is the second full-length album by Craven Faults. It follows a trilogy of long sold out EPs, 2020’s Erratics & Unconformities LP, the Enclosures mini-album and a series of studio performances entitled Live Works.

Meticulously curated, each release moves the Craven Faults story forward. Each one a self-contained analogue electronic journey across northern Britain, viewed through the lens of a century in popular music. Studios, venues and movements. Technology and ingenuity. Vibrations. L

This is multi-instrumentalist Ben Craven's third album. On his second release, which we carried, he referred to his album this way: "If Pink Floyd had recorded a soundtrack for Star Wars, it might sound something like my music."
That still remains a quite reasonable summation of what he does!
This release includes a 'making of' DVD.

"Acclaimed pianist Gwilym Simcock follows a sustained period of touring with legendary guitarist Pat Metheny with a brand new collaborative project. Combining Simcock's formidable skills in composition, arrangement and improvisation with the lyrics and melodies of Welsh/Bajan singer-songwriter Kizzy Crawford and an ensemble drawn from leading Welsh chamber orchestra Sinfonia Cymru, Birdsong tells a story through music inspired by Carngafallt. Carngafallt is part of the Welsh rainforest territory and home...

Now semi-forgotten, but for a while CTW were one of the more interesting sound/noise/etc. experimentalists out there. I believe that this was their final album. "Ochre Land, Blue Blue Skies. (34:04). Composed by Michael Gendreau (1996-7), incorporating...

Really crazed, over the top, UK theatrical, proto-progressive band who are remembered here in the USA for their one and only hit, "Fire" (heard here!), and who are remembered in the UK for their utterly outrageous live shows. The band was bound to...

I'm a big Cream fan; they were the first band I liked when I was a kid that I still like. This title could have been a lot cheesier than it is - it includes new interviews with Jack, Ginger and Eric, a bunch of cool live/TV footage (including the...

CD 3: Konserhuset, Stockholm, Sweden - November 14, 1967
CD 4: Sports Arena, San Diego, CA October 20, 1968

All the CDs except #3 have extremely good sound for live and loud rock concerts from 55 years ago.

Cream were the first band I liked after the Beatles and they still have a place in my heart. They were essentially a blues/rock band, but they were extremely 'progressive' in the literal sense of the word (how could they not be with Jack Bruce, one of ...

“This is an entertaining collection of outtakes, alternate takes, and odd mixes from the period when Cream was recording its debut album, FRESH CREAM...this is a fascinating glimpse of the genesis of a great band.”-AllMusic

“A CD with eleven tracks, all of which are Cream studio or rehearsal out-takes of early version of the songs. Far more than there are on the 'Those Were The Days' box set, these are just as interesting. The whole thing is just less then 30 minutes long, but if you're a Cream...

Good quality off-air BBC broadcasts from 66-68 and the 1967 Stockholm show.

Surprisingly very aok sound for unreleased 50 year old recordings. Fans will spooge; based on how short the tunes are, I think this is mis-labeled and it actually from 1967. In any case, it's a good performance and very succinct, based on what came later.
"Cream, live at the Winterland in 1968. Regarded by some as the finest live document of the trio in existence, it typifies their explosive chemistry. This show features the hits Tales Of Brave Ulysses, Crossroads, Traintime and many more."

“The spacy, mystical dub reggae of British group Creation Rebel is immersed in science fiction as well as Rastafarian traditions.

“The first album in 40 years from this legendary dub act, who were the original On-U house band and responsible for classics such as Dub from Creation and Starship Africa. The trio of Crucial Tony, Eskimo Fox and Magoo are back with producer Adrian Sherwood to create a modern spin on their heavyweight dubwise rhythms."

These two guys left a hugely successful pop band (10cc) at the peak of their success to invent an ahead of its time music instrument device and to make a ahead of its time concept recording about ecological breakdown taking its revenge on mankind!

“Resin Pockets is the first album in a decade from long-running Bristol, U.K. indie group Crescent, and their first for Domino sublabel Geographic, which had previously reissued the debut album by related band Movietone. Crescent's principal member remains singer/songwriter Matt Jones, who co-founded the group during the early '90s and is responsible for most of their material. His brother Sam plays drums and tambourine on the release, longtime member Kate Wright sings on the album's final song, and a...
