It's the HALLOWEEN section!

“This is the first ever official physical release of the soundtrack to Lars Von Trier's controversial film Antichrist, originally released in 2009. Ten years after the film's initial release, the extreme, provocative performances from Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg in Antichrist still have the power to shock, repulse, and divide.
The sound design by Kristian Eidnes Andersen with Lars Von Trier was composed using only natural sounds and samples (including internal body recordings). Each...

Weird but ultimately fascinating ambient music built out of old 78s and the ambient noise (crackle, groove noise) and music contained within them. His stated aim is to provide a tribute to the Ballroom scene from The Shining. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Sorta tranquil / sorta spooky.

“Originally issued in 2011. An Empty Bliss Beyond The World returns our doddering protagonist to the deserted ballroom, wandering its waxed floor and dilapidated grandeur in an attempt to capture an era which has long...

“The Caretaker slips beyond recognition in the first "post awareness" stage of Everywhere At The End Of Time. The ability to recall singular memories gives way to confusions and horror. It's the beginning of an eventual process where all memories begin to become more fluid through entanglements, repetition, and rupture. Though the metaphoric device of worn-down ballroom 78s and Jack Nicholson's descent into madness in The Shining (1980), The Caretaker connotes the transitory cognitive breakdown of...

“Compiling the last three albums in the Everywhere At The End Of Time series -- four CDs and almost five hours of material cataloging the ultimate descent into dementia and oblivion, using a patented prism of sound to connote a final, irreversible transition into the haunted ballroom of the mind that he first stepped into with 1999's Selected Memories From the Haunted Ballroom. Invoking Jack Nicolson's caretaker character in Stanley Kubrick/Stephen King's The Shining as metaphor for issues revolving...

Unlike his two, previous, non-soundtrack albums, this is John's actual movie themes (all of which he wrote) and is done in the same heavy progressive style as his 2016 concert tour presented them! Fun stuff and fans of Goblin, Zombi and John's always great soundtracks will love it.

"2018’s Halloween, directed by David Gordon Green, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, and with music by series creator John Carpenter (along with his son and godson, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies) was a critical and box-office smash. It grossed $159 million against a $10 million budget, becoming the most profitable Halloween movie since the 1978 original. The soundtrack album was a hit, too, debuting at #12 on the Billboard Albums chart and #2 on the vinyl chart, on its way to becoming one of the most...

This is the second non-soundtrack album by film-maker John Carpenter, following closely on the heels of his Lost Themes release. In addition to directing his films, Carpenter has always provided his own soundtracks, and this one, a bit more 'rock' based than the last, is another great one! Fans of Goblin & John's always great soundtracks will eat this up!

"2016 release from the filmmaker and musician. The musical world of Lost Themes II is also a wider one than that of it's predecessor. More...

"25 years after its initial release, Julee Cruise's sophomore album The Voice of Love is being issued for the first time on vinyl.
In 1992, after the release of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise returned to the studio with new compositions as well as the intent to craft previously instrumental score-based material from Fire Walk With Me and Wild at Heart into Julee Cruise songs. The result was 1993's final studio album The Voice of Love."

"Three Demos is a very unique release, featuring the very first demo recordings for songs from Julee Cruise's initial LP with David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti, Floating Into the Night.
These early versions are fascinating glimpses into the genesis of what became Floating Into the Night and the minimal key ingredients that made the material alchemize. An early version of the album opener "Floating" originally began with a stunning spoken-word intro later dropped entirely from the album version. A...

"An English jazz pianist living in Rome witnesses the brutal hatchet murder of a renowned psychic and is quickly drawn into the savage crime. With the help of a tenacious female reporter, the pair track a twisted trail of deranged clues and relentless violence towards a shocking climax that has ripped screams from the throats of audiences for more than 35 years!"

"Goblin surprised the Prog world by releasing 2 albums in 2015, Goblin Rebirth being an off-shoot band that kept the magnificent rhythmic tandem of Fabio Pignatelli and Agostino Marangolo together while infusing 3 talented players, creating a memorable self-titled album that I anointed with the highest praise. On 'Four of a Kind', the two are joined by initial members Massimo Morante on guitars and keyboardist Maurizio Guarini. Only Claudio Simonetti is missing but he has his own version of Goblin...

New release of Goblin's hardest to find album, & one of two that was not a soundtrack. In addition to the music - solidly progressive rock & without the horror soundtrack-isms of most of their work.

Goblin werent really a live outfit; they were a studio band and they made soundtracks and albums, but even in their popular heyday, they generally didnt play live.
This live show was discovered about 20 years after the fact and came out as a bonus disc with a Goblin best of; its the only known live recording by the band and this is the first time its been released on vinyl.

"Recorded on May 25th 1978, the show here presented was the real penultimate one for Goblin in one of their most..

Actually, the group is now called "New Goblin", but who is going to look in under "N" for a new Goblin CD? This album was recorded live in Rome on February 18, 2011 and features three original and/or long time members of Goblin: Massimo Morante (guitar),

A release so great that one of the great bands of the 90s/00s named themselves after it! Goblin were a instrumental quartet of keyboards, guitar, bass & drums who are known for their soundtracks to some seriously scary 70's horror films by Dario Argento.

"Rustblade presents Claudio Simonetti and his Goblin playing and reinterpreting the score of one of the most famous horror movies of all times to celebrate 40 years of the idolised film Dawn of the Dead directed by George Romero and produced by Dario Argento. The music that accompanies the movie is a mix of prog and electronic rock full of tension and magic tribalism. Piercing guitars, Synth orchestration and virtualism give life to thousands of blood thirsty zombies. An unmissable release enriched with...

Goblin, Goblin, there are so many Goblins! This is the 'other' Goblin, which features original drummer Agostino Marangolo and bassist Fabio Pignatelli, along with Giacomo Anselmi on guitars and bouzouki and dual keyboardists Danilo Cherni and Aidan Zammit.

"It is with great pride that Sacred Bones Records announces its official, expanded, re-release of the soundtrack to David Lynch's landmark 1977 film, Eraserhead. This edition includes: a 16 page booklet, a four panel fold out double sided poster, digital download. The bonus song "Pete's Boogie" is a newly discovered Peter Ivers recording taken from the original audio tapes and mixed by Lynch himself."

Synthesist Steve Moore is one half of the excellent, 70s-inspired, synth/prog duo Zombi. In addition to the six albums released by Zombi, he has a prolific and thriving solo career. This album, released simultaneously with Zombi's latest, Shape Shift, is the soundtrack to a horror film and is one of his great ones, mixing spacey sequencing and droning menace. Recommended!

Electronic musician Steve, who has released a string of great records as well as being half of Zombi, has recently been doing soundtrack work.
This is the first of his soundtrack’s that I have heard, and it’s a great one. And CREEPY! That alone tells you whether you want this one or not.

This is the 2009 remastered version of this basically instrumental classic from 1973. This was Mike's first album, the first release on Virgin and the first album recorded at Virgin's Manor studios! Lots of keyboards, lots and lots of guitars and even some tubular bells!

OK, maybe it's not magical like the original, but this is a perfectly nice listen with significant variations on the original themes of Tubular Bells. Released in 1992, this very much still has Mike's classic sound firmly intact. [WEA]
