The second of their 2 'official' albums released during their lifetime. Agitation Free were an instrumental, dual guitar oriented, somewhat 'jammy' oriented psychedelic/Krautrock outfit. In addition to the guitar, they are best known for giving the...

This was a posthumous live release of 1973 material that was originally issued in the mid 1970's. For my money, this was their best 1970's - released album, as they really stretched out here, with beautiful soaring guitar leads on top of a solid rhythm...

One of the greats of the Krautrock greats, their intertwining dual guitars with synths and rhythm section made them truly the intergalactic Grateful Dead. Nice to see that they are still burning and - based on this - burning brightly!...

Originally released in 1974, this was the band's seventh album and while it isn't up to the incredibly high standards of their first 3-4 albums, this could legitimately be considered the end of the line for the original version of the band. It isn't...

Redone, repackaged digipack edition of this old compilation of rare singles, remixes, etc from 1975 (in other words, from their incredible to very good period). "Originally released 1975, Lemmingmania is a compilation filled with special excerpts and t...

Finally available in a definitive edition is this excellent live album, originally released only in the UK to capitalize on their early 70's successes there. This was recorded just a hair after the band's prime, circa Wolf City, December 16, 1972...

Pyragony X was a transitional album with a generally different sound from earlier Duul works, more oriented to a general audience. Their 10th album, this is a typically thorough Garden of Delights job, undertaken on a somewhat slight release. [Garden o...

This reissues the first Anima lp, which originally came out on Ohr in 1971, and must have filled many unsuspecting, tripping 'heads' with bummers, dude. "The duo of Paul and Limpe Fuchs were amongst the most experimental to emerge out of the late-60s a...

"Cold Waters is the result of a very short yet intense meeting between Jean-Hervé Péron (Faust) and Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator). The duo met in the French countryside at Carina’s silk mill: two days, two mics, two friends and a dog…from hilarious to...

The incredible, classic, sixth and final album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself! Highly recommended!

The sixth album by Ash Ra Tempel, this was actually Manuel Gottsching's first solo album...

The very good, if somewhat overlooked fourth album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!

The band's fourth album, this is the first time since their self-titled first that you have the trio of Manuel...

Another solo disc by Manuel, masquerading as a Ash Ra Tempel disc. But it's still a great one. This time he's on both synths and guitar. Trancey electronics, with that distinctive Gottsching bent.

The second album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!

Their 2nd album came out in 1972, & was quite a bit different from the first, as Klaus Schulze had split. So Manuel & Harmut enlisted some other...

The fairly insane third album where Timothy Leary, on the run from the Feds, ends up in Switzerland surrounded by happy hippies. Remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!

Or, as that hipster Manuel has it on the cover, @shra...anyway, this is a pretty obscure release and is also a very good one from 1998 that hasn't been available in a long time. Grab it or regret it!

This album, recorded in Berlin, and originally released in 1977 on Virgin, marks the first time Manuel Gottsching used the name Ashra (as opposed to Ash Ra Tempel). This was also possibly the first time that the term "new age" was used on a record! It'...

While it's pretty certain that Miles kick started the whole electric jazz-jazz/rock movement with In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew in 1969, there were other people working towards the same goals at aproximately the same time, some of them better known...

This was originally issued by Pilz in 1972, was one of their last releases. Berkers was a bassist and a member of both the Cosmic Jokers and Wallenstein. This features him on guitar with various Kosmiche pals. More of a 'rock album' than you might expe...

Recorded in 1976-77, this is their fifth album. Sort of between trance/krautrock and early world music/new-age explorations (before new age turned into vapid pretty noodling). This has nearly 20 minutes of unreleased material!...

"From the vaults of radio station SWF (today SWR) and previously unreleased, this fantastic group with a rather unusual instrumentation (flutes, bass, drums) blow your ears away. They played music you probably haven't heard before. Call it free rock...

Unbelievably heavy, gatefold-cover, vinyl lp + DVD release of this soundtrack to a remake of the Peter Greenaway film Water Wrackets. I am not familiar with Cooper Crane's other work, but this is an entrancing, krautrock/minimalist influenced work...

This is a never before released live gig in excellent sound, from 4/74 by this jazz rock band who played flute, organ/electric piano, saxes, bass, drums & vocals. I can hear elements of Supersister at times, & maybe even a little bit of the Mothers (Ki...

"With this record from 1972, Brainstorm, led by future Guru Guru stalwart Roland Schaeffer, established themselves as one of Germany’s premier bands. Their complex Krautrock, based on strange harmonics (thanks to Schaeffer’s enthusiasm for Jimi Hendrix...

The great third album (of 3 great ones and then a number of not so great ones) by this Swiss band who operated in Germany and are thought of as being a 'krautrock' band and who actually were in terms of the music and the spirit, if not actually of...

The mind-expansive, first and most psychedelic release by this Swiss band with German/krautrock label and musical ties. A 1971 classic, no doubt, this is taken from the master tapes. What can you possibly say about an album that includes the following...

This reissues a 1971 early German acid folk release, which, if you dig that sort of thing, is a highpoint of the entire genre.

"A double CD of 29 classic Can tracks (all remastered); serves as the perfect introduction to the legendary German musical pioneers."

Very early recordings, including some of their very first, all featuring Malcolm Mooney. While this is more of historical interest than being one of their greats, there is some really good stuff here, and this is a no-brainer for fans.

Recorded in 1972, this is one of my personal favorites by the band, as there is a bit more 'groove' in the playing (and drummer Jaki was always one of the great groove drummers ever).

"The follow-up to Tago Mago is only lesser in terms of being.
