Action - Action (expanded)
"Action from Zweibrücken were playing organ-dominated progressive hard rock in the tradition of Deep Purple or the early Uriah Heep. The ideas and their execution are good; the way the singer tries to copy Ian Gillan, however, seems at times a bit...
Aera - Mechelwind 2 x CDs
Aera were a long running German fusion band that recorded for the independent Erlkoenig label in the 70s and into the 80s. Their albums have been reissued and people are once again aware of their works. This however, is not a reissue - it's...
Agitation Free - 2nd (expanded / remastered / digipack)
The second of their 2 'official' studio albums released during their lifetime. Agitation Free were an instrumental, dual guitar oriented, somewhat 'jammy' oriented psychedelic/Krautrock outfit. In addition to the guitar, they are best known for giving the world synthesist/keyboardist Michael Hoenig.
For me, this is the best studio album, reaching the peakest peaks of their twin guitar, "Krautrock meets the most out moments of the Grateful Dead" sound.
Recommended and essential early 70s German...
Agitation Free - Fragments
This is the third time that these very final sessions by Agitation Free have been issued, and this would seem to be the definitive version, with the best sound of any of the previous issues, as well as a bonus track. This is a big psychedelic jam from ...
Agitation Free - Fragments vinyl lp (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)
Vinyl edition limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies! This album consists of the very final sessions by Agitation Free. This is a big psychedelic jam from a lot of different members of the group from the different lineups of the band, including...
Agitation Free - Last, Fragments & Live '74 [At The Cliffs Of The River Rhine] : 3 x CDs + DVD
Agitation Free were an instrumental, dual guitar oriented, somewhat 'jammy' oriented psychedelic/Krautrock outfit. In addition to the guitar, they are best known for giving the world synthesist/keyboardist Michael Hoenig.
At their best, they combined spacey Krautrock with the most 'out' moments of the Grateful Dead at their most cosmic.
The band only managed to release two studio albums during their lifetime and a number of archival releases.
"Last" was a posthumous live release of 1973...
Agitation Free - Shibuya Nights: Live in Tokyo (special edition) CD + DVD
One of the greats of the Krautrock greats, their intertwining dual guitars with synths and rhythm section made them truly the intergalactic Grateful Dead. Nice to see that they are still burning and - based on this - burning brightly!...
Ainigma - Diluvium
A fun, loud, heavy progressive hard rock album that was recorded in early 1973. Includes two bonus tracks that total over 23', including a 18' instrumental! It gets sorta boring saying over and over again what a great job Garden of Delights do with th...
Ainigma - Diluvium vinyl lp (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)
Willi Klüter (organ, vocals)
Wolfgang Netzer (guitar, bass, choir)
Michael Klüter (drums)
Michael Freise (acoustic guitar)
"An obscure early band that gained recognition as one of the darkest of heavy German progressives. Little is known about Ainigma, except that they existed for some time before making their sole album DILUVIUM, and the truth is that Ainigma were actually quite typical of the more mainstream Krautrock of the era.
Ainigma played a raw and slightly messy kind o
Albatros - Garden Of Eden
"Elaborate art rock from Hagen circa 1978. Similar to early Genesis or early Wallenstein. Three long tracks, well played and neatly recorded. Recommended. With 28 page color booklet"...

Altona - Altona vinyl lp (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)
Fritz Kahl (bass)
Karl-Heinz Blumenberg (vocals, bass/soprano saxes, bass)
Klaus Gerlach (guitar)
Wolfgang Wulff (tenor sax)
Karl-Heinz Gossler (drums)
Werner von Gosen (guitar)
Michael von Rönn (tenor sax)
"With their roots as ex-Thrice Mice members, Altona wisely chose this new name (Altona is a town on the edge of Hamburg) when dropping the former band's classical edge in preference for a jazzier front.
On their debut Altona played a lively fusion that crossed

Amon Duul II - Pyragony X
Pyragony X was a transitional album with a generally different sound from earlier Duul works, more oriented to a general audience. Their 10th album, this is a typically thorough Garden of Delights job, undertaken on a somewhat slight release. [Garden o...

Anima - Sturmischer Himmel
This reissues the first Anima lp, which originally came out on Ohr in 1971, and must have filled many unsuspecting, tripping 'heads' with bummers, dude. "The duo of Paul and Limpe Fuchs were amongst the most experimental to emerge out of the late-60s a...

Anton, Michael / Amok - Jesus Makes You High (Mega Blowout Sale)
This is a high-quality pirate edition of this never-reissued, very obscure Krautrock rarity.
"From 1971. A very strange 'paycheck' project for Conny Plank and Achim Reichel's Gorilla Musik production company. Wonderland-esque German rock with...
Arbeit Schickert Schneider - ASS
Three guitarists, three generations, one album. Günter Schickert, Jochen Arbeit, and Dirk Dresselhaus are all renowned Berlin guitarists. They epitomize three generations of experimental musicians; Schickert personifies the krautrock of the 1970s, Arbeit 1980s post-punk, and Dresselhaus the neo-electronica of the late 1990s and 2000s. Their artistic approaches may differ according to their diverse musical backgrounds, yet what they have in common is a fundamental interest in developing the guitar as a...
Art-Errorist & Acid Cobra - Cold Waters
"Cold Waters is the result of a very short yet intense meeting between Jean-Hervé Péron (Faust) and Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator). The duo met in the French countryside at Carina’s silk mill: two days, two mics, two friends and a dog…from hilarious to...
Ash Ra Tempel - Friendship
This was originally recorded and released in 2000 and was one of two efforts by 'Ash Ra Tempel", which is the meeting again after quite some time of Klaus Schulze and Manuel Gottsching.
This one was always hard to find and while it isn't...

Ash Ra Tempel - Join Inn (remastered)

Ash Ra Tempel - Le Berceau De Crystal
Back in print after at least a decade of unavailability. This is a previously unreleased 1975 album, issued for the first time in the mid 1990's as a film soundtrack. For that reason, it's definitely not one of the classics, but it is still really good overall.
"In 1975 I was doing a series of concerts in France with Lutz Ulbrich, where we were presenting 'Inventions for Electric Guitar' and other compositions, which we developed together that year. In August, we were invited for two concerts in...

Ash Ra Tempel - Schwingungen (remastered)
The second album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!
Their 2nd album came out in 1972, & was quite a bit different from the first, as Klaus Schulze had split. So Manuel & Harmut enlisted some other...

Ash Ra Tempel - Seven Up (remastered)
The fairly insane third album where Timothy Leary, on the run from the Feds, ends up in Switzerland surrounded by happy hippies. Remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!
Their third album was named after the LSD-laced soft drink that these guys..

Ash Ra Tempel - Starring Rosi (remastered)
The fifth album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself!

Ash Ra Tempel / Manuel Göttsching - Inventions for Electric Guitar (remastered)
The incredible, classic, sixth and final album by this legendary Krautrock ensemble, remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself! Highly recommended!
The sixth album by Ash Ra Tempel, this was actually Manuel Gottsching's first solo album...
Ashra - Ashra /Ashra 2 : 2 x CDs
Or, as that hipster Manuel has it on the cover, @shra...anyway, this is a pretty obscure release and is also a very good one from 1998 that hasn't been available in a long time. Grab it or regret it!
"Recorded during the first Japanese tour of the band in Osaka and Tokyo in February 1997, this double album is a rare document of the late Ashra with Manuel Gottsching, Lutz Ulbrich, Harald Grosskopf with the new signing Steve Baltes, who has since been in Goettsching's band . A perfectly oiled blend...

Ashra - Correlations In Concert DVD
Totally professional, multi-camera live performance from June 8, 2012 in Berlin of Manuel Gottsching (guitar & keyboard), Harald Grosskopf (drums) and Steve Baltes (electronics) performing pieces from the albums Blackouts and Correlations.
Association P.C. - Mama Kuku (24 bit remastered/mini-lp sleeve)
While it's pretty certain that Miles kick started the whole electric jazz-jazz/rock movement with In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew in 1969, there were other people working towards the same goals at aproximately the same time, some of them better known...
Baumann / Koek - Baumann / Koek
"Baumann/Koek is another hitherto undiscovered treasure of German electronic music, the only album by the electronic music pairing of Wolfgang Baumann and Ata Koek, both from Kempten, Bavaria, Germany. It was mixed in Conny Plank's studio and distributed, without a label, by the duo themselves in 1978. The music owes much to the Berlin School; layered sequencer patterns, swirling chord tapestries, a computer beat here and there. Eastern elements or hints thereof add a particular charm to Baumann/Koek...
Baumann, Peter - Machines Of Desire
Just in time for the reissues of "Romance '76" and "Trans Harmonic Nights" comes the first new music from Peter in something like 20 years! And it's good, capturing the sort of 'spare but still Berlin-school' vibe of his early classics!
"In October 2014 an idea suddenly came to mind. Although I had spent much of my life performing, recording and producing music, my attention over the immediately preceding years had been focused on the philosophy and psychology of human nature. It was a rewarding...
Baumann, Peter - Romance '76 (24-bit remaster)
An important, long-time and key member of Tangerine Dream, Peter Baumann was with the group through basically all of their most important work.
This was his first solo album and was released while he was still in TD. It's a fine work and it has been unavailable on CD for nearly 20 years.
"While still a member of Tangerine Dream, Peter Baumann released his first solo album, Romance '76. It's not far removed from the music that TD was making at the time -- in fact, references to Rubycon...
Baumann, Peter - Trans Harmonic Nights (24-bit remaster)
An important, long-time and key member of Tangerine Dream, Peter Baumann was with the group through mostl of their most important work.
This was his second solo album and was released not too long after he left Tangerine Dream. It's a fine work and it has been unavailable on CD for nearly 20 years.
"Peter Baumann's second recording does not fail to send one to new worlds both inner and outer and anyone familiar with his music will play it over and over. In my opinion Tangerine Dream never...
Berkers, Jerry - Unterwegs
This was originally issued by Pilz in 1972, was one of their last releases. Berkers was a bassist and a member of both the Cosmic Jokers and Wallenstein. This features him on guitar with various Kosmiche pals. More of a 'rock album' than you might expe...
Between - Contemplation (expanded)
Recorded in 1976-77, this is their fifth album. Sort of between trance/krautrock and early world music/new-age explorations (before new age turned into vapid pretty noodling). This has nearly 20 minutes of unreleased material!...

Bitchin Bajas - Water Wrackets vinyl lp + DVD (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)
Unbelievably heavy, gatefold-cover, vinyl lp + DVD release of this soundtrack to a remake of the Peter Greenaway film Water Wrackets. I am not familiar with Cooper Crane's other work, but this is an entrancing, krautrock/minimalist influenced work...
Blackbirds - Touch Of Music

Brainstorm - Last Smile
