“Altare Thotemico is an relatively new Italian ensemble led by vocalist/poet Gianni Venturi. Selfie Ergo Sum is an odd but highly engaging album. The band touches on a variety of styles - there is some jazz rock elements, a touch of weirdness here and there and even some references to old school RPI. The thing that stands out on this album is the guitarist Agostino Raimo. This guy rips! He plays with heaviness and speed but stops just short of taking the music into metal territory. The music does have a good melodic flow with a good vibe. I like that they are taking a different approach. Recommended to the adventurous.”-Ken Golden
