Ardley, Neil - Harmony of the Spheres (24 bit remastered)

SKU 23-ESOTERIC2096
This is a great, classic, spacey, big-band jazz-rock album from the 1970s. It is the more obscure follow-up to his great, better-known work 'Kaleidoscope of Rainbows'. Like Kaleidoscope, it uses the group Nucleus as its base, adding other players as well, including some surprises (John Martyn as guitarist!) There were only a few records of this sort done in the 70's (probably due to their expense - all were bankrolled by major labels), but they all have a real charm to me and this title is no exception and has proven to be the rarest and most elusive until now. Released for the first time on CD outside of Japan, this is 24-bit remastered from the original analogue stereo master! Includes new liner notes as well.
