Top-tier, early 70s Afro-centric, jazz/electric jazz from Chicago that features many of the Chicago/AACM trademarks including inside/outside playing and little percussion instruments for one thing, but also more spaciousness and sorta rootsy/soul-jazz vibe that is now known as kosmigroov. This 1972 album was their 1st release, of two. There's lots of electric piano featured, as well as saxes, trumpet, bass/electric pass, drums, percussion and wordless vocals. This is quite an attractive and nice release and one that sounds both of its time and contemporary. Conditionally highly recommended.
