David Bedford was an up and coming 'contemporary music composer' before he somehow signed up with Kevin Ayers' Whole World, becoming their keyboardist and becoming intertwined with the oddball side of the rock music world, working with Mike Oldfield among others and releasing a number of records for Virgin. This 1974 orchestral work is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with guitar and bass guitar by Mike Oldfield and percussion by Chris Cutler
