Bitter Funeral Beer Band / Bengt Berger - Praise Drumming

SKU 15-DRCD 449
Drummer Bengt Berger put together this amazing, sadly short-lived ensemble for a couple of years in the 80s. Bengt had previously played in Sweden's legendary Archemedes Badkar and this took the world music and jazz influences that the band had been heading towards with their fantastic 'Tre" release and went 'full on jazz' with it.
This includes many of the musicians that were in Badkar as well as others. This is the little known follow-up to their great ECM release and the band's final recording, which has never-before appeared on CD!
The band :
• Bass Clarinet, Soprano Saxophone, Flute, Percussion – Björn Hellström
• Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Percussion – Sigge Krantz
• Bass Guitar, Percussion – Thomas Huhn
• Cello, Percussion – Matthias Helldén
• Drums, Percussion – Tomas Mera Gartz
• Electric Guitar, Violin, Percussion – Tord Bengtsson
• Percussion – Liselotte Norelius
• Tenor Saxophone, Percussion – Ulf Wallander
• Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone, Flute, Percussion – Thomas Gustafson
• Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Percussion – Bengt Ernryd
• Trumpet, Percussion – Tommy Adolfsson
• Vocals, Amadinda, Xylophone, Percussion – Anita Livstrand
• Xylophone [Ko-Gyil], Amadinda, Percussion – Bengt Berger

Recorded by ECM's Jan-Erik Kongshaug at Rainbow Studio, Oslo, Norway, March 25 and 26, 1986, so you KNOW it sounds great!
