The First Decade is a very good 'best of' of the band's releases from their first 10 years, but you are really buying this for CG3 + 2! Both of these are really hard to find these days and this is a great price on the set.
After their acclaimed performance at Nearfest 2001 comes a full studio release of their collaboration with bass/stick and drums, featuring the rhythm section of King Crimson. The usual blending of great interlocking playing, this time with a strong rhythmic push, courtesy the '+ 2' part of the record. And, of course, in addition to their originals, the CGT are known for their covers, and this time they do Dance Of Maya (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Heart Of The Sunrise (Yes), and a Japanese traditional piece that incorporates part of 21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson).
