Fifth great album by this world-class, progressive, technical metal, math-rock instrumental quintet. Using guitars, multi-keyboards, bass and drums, their sound is somewhere between Behold...The Arctopus, The Fucking Champs, Gordian Knot and 1980s King Crimson, when they were at their most musically interesting. And it's instrumental, so you don't have to listen past a singer to hear what's going on here. From their roots as a death metal group, they have evolved dramatically, assimalating a huge amount of progressive rock into their sound. They balance hyper-technical passages with dreamy, textures and spacey sections. Really great. Recommended!
