Ostensibly, this is a documentary about Miles' electric period from 1969-1975 and as such, it isn't bad, with some very very good comentary (and a little bit of playing too!) from Pete Cosey, Chick Corea, Jack DeJohnette, Airto, Gary Bartz and more and even an appearance by that bigmouth, famous, FAT villian, Stanley Crouch (booooo!!! hisssssss!). There some short but tasty clips of the band live too that I haven't seen elsewhere. But the real meat and the reason you must buy this is because it includes the ENTIRE August 29th, 1970 performance at the Isle of Wight with Miles, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Gary Bartz, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette and Airto. The sound and picture quality are both extremely excellent! This is definitely the first time that a complete performance by the very wonderful 70's electric Miles band has been released on video. And, as a bonus, watch closely at the end, as all the band members walk individually off the stage, as Airto walks RIGHT SMACK into a pole! Recommended, and NOT because of Airto's misshap!
