Djam Karet - The Devouring
Djam Karet use dual guitars, keyboards/electronics, bass & drums. They play interesting & fresh instrumental progressive rock. They have developed their own sound out of the classic influences of bands such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Present, Heldon, & others, and are one of the most popular and essential US progressive bands. This was their 1st studio release after a long absence, and in some ways, might be considered their most overtly progressive rock release. ''The greatest progressive rock album of the 1990's'' -Dr. Robert LaDuca (Nearfest co-founder). ''...the greatest undiscovered band in the world.''-Electronic Musician. ''Pink Floydian dreamscapes intersect with the jagged complexity of King Crimson.''-Rolling Stone. ''Drawning upon music that spans its 15 years together, Djam Karet is never less than exhilarating in its virtuoso interplay, while never succumbing to jam band histrionics''-Billboard.
