Smokin' hot, great sounding - those BBC engineers know what they are doing - vinyl only, live in the studio release by this great organ trio. Highly recommended, as are all of their releases. Limited, hand numbered edition of 500 and released only on vinyl!
"At the same time as their triumphant and memorable concert with Motorpsycho in London in November 2010 they popped into BBC for a "Jazz on 3" session. Widely considered to be one of Norway´s best live bands, this album shows the high degree of musicianship in this trio, all tracks being first takes and without any editing whatsoever. Elephant9 is as always Ståle Storløkken (Supersilent, Humcrush) on Hammond organ and Fender Rhodes, Nikolai Eilertsen (Big Bang) on bass and Torstein Lofthus (Shining) on drums."
"The trio have applied unfussy Scandinavian good taste to an unholy mish-mash of Bitches Brew Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Cream (if Eric had ditched the Strat for a Hammond) and miraculously they've come out of it not reeking of patchouli and jazz-fags."-The Word
