Now that November has rolled around and you start hearing (or worse seeing) Bing Crosby and David Bowie dueting on "The Little Drummer Boy", you are gonna wish you had bought this one to satisfy your family's scratching for "some pretty Christmas music". As far as I can tell (granted, I do NOT want to do serious research into this subject...), this is the greatest Christmas album ever made. Originally released in 1968, it is truely a classic and Fahey brings out the inherent loveliness of all of the tracks, many of which are not the typical choices. This version adds as much of the album "Christmas with John Fahey, Volume II" as would fit (all except one song). The only Christmas album I will ever choose to listen to (not the same as 'have to listen to because my wife is playing one'), but you get my drift...
