Thrilled to see this rather obscure and completely great 1973 electric jazz album get a reissue - and from Japan! - at a reasonable price; this has only been out once before on CD, a full two decades ago and has long been unavailable in any format!
Trombonist Curtis Fuller has a long, long history in jazz, but for this 1973 release, he turned up the juice and let the fusion FLOW! Very good release and great to hear a fine trombone player letting loose in the early 70s jazz/rock sound.
This is a really good one, energetic and powerful; with Return To Forever's rhythm section backing you in 1973, how could it otherwise?
