Gentle Giant's first album sets the pace and direction of the later, much better known albums by the band, but being a 1970 release, there's a lot of proto-progressive hard rock elements & even some bits of psychedelia in place as well.
This is probably their only album where when you listen to some tracks, you could imagine it being a different group on Vertigo! There's at least five better places to start with the band if you don't own anything by them, but I own it in my collection and I still play it a few times a year - 50 years later! - and if you know and like the band, there's some real enjoyable things here.
