The opera explores the life of scientist Johannes Kepler, continuing Glass' interest in scientists following operas on Einstein and Galileo. Performed by Landestheater Linz with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz under Dennis Russell Davies, Kepler is a refreshing return to large-scale symphonic writing for the opera house."
