Glass Hammer are a long-time progressive rock band (this is their seventeenth studio album!) who are based around the co-leadership of Fred Schendel (keyboards) and Steve Babb (bass).
Other than those two, a huge number of players have passed through the ranks, all of them talented and all of them bringing some fine playing to each album and giving each album a slightly different flavor (which is a good thing when you are up to 17 albums!). This time around there are male and female vocals, guitar and drums in addition to Steve & Fred.
Musically, this is top-tier American prog rock with strong influences from Kansas, Yes and ELP and other influences from other classic bands of the 70s era. This is very strong, modern day, American prog.
