The HGB were legends of American music and performed a wild, energetic and tight music featuring wild dual guitar work and a solid rhythm section plus a wild-card vocalist. Comparable to the Magic Band, the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers, but with a wild/freak-out streak. Basically they were totally a product of the south and of the 60s. Despite calls for them to do reunions in Atlanta, there home base, where they are reverered as gods of the local music scene, they never did until, sadly, one of their two original guitarists (Harold Kelling) died. Taking that as a sign, they finally did it in June 2006. They reunited for the 1st time in 33 years in front of over 1,0000 people to perform their legendary double album "Music to Eat". The group includes all the surviving original members (Bruce Hampton, Glenn Phillips, Jerry Fields and Mike Holbrook) plus second guitarist Bob Elsey filling in for Harold. This show was professionally filmed by a five-camera crew and the result is this 80' DVD.
