A decent look at mid 80's Hawkwind. This has about 3/4's of Hawkwind's performance at the last Stonehenge fest.
The picture and sound quality are excellent, as the whole thing was filmed professionally. The camera work tends to focus on Nik Turner and the women dancing around the stage through most of the show, but the audio mix has everyone balanced quite well.
I've often said that Hawkwind during the 80's was all about Huw Lloyd Langton's underrated guitar work, and this title features some nice guitar work, though the end of Motorway City fades out, and you don't see much of Huw on camera.
This also includes a big chunk of the jam the band (sans Langton, who presumably chose to sleep in) did the following morning at dawn. If you know the album This Is Hawkwind Do Not Panic, well, this is essentially the track Stonehenge Decoded (they also played several more songs during the dawn set, but they don't appear here).
If you like Hawkwind during this era (as heard on such albums as Zones and Sonic Attack), or you like Nik Turner's contributions to the band, this is a good one to have.
