Isotope and Gary Boyle - Live At The BBC

What a wonderful archival treat! This captures the original line-up of Isotope (Gary Boyle-guitar, Brian Miller-keyboards, Jeff Clyne-bass and Nigel Morris-drums) in two excellent sounding live BBC sessions right around the time of their first album in late 1973 and early 1974. Despite the fact that Hugh Hopper joined them for their 2nd album, and even contributed some great tunes, I still like their first the best, and now there's this great live material to enjoy - which is especially timely, as all their studio albums are now out of print! As a bonus, there are three tracks by Gary Boyle's post-Isotope band, circa the release of his first solo album "The Dancer", which even features on keyboards...Geoff Downes, before going on to 'infamy' as a member of (cough) Yes and Asia. And he plays great here too. Pretty much a must-own for fusion fans and especially for fans of UK fusion; Nucleus, Soft Machine, etc.
