Johnson is a percussionist who has appeared on some of Hammer's albums, including The First Seven Days, his best work, and this 1980 album, originally released on the CMP label, features lots of good percussion work and GOBS of fantastic work from Jan Hammer on Moogs, Probe/Oberheim synths, pianos and drums. This is very late in Jan's career for the music to still be this good, as Miami Vice was certainly close to beckoning by then. While not all of the album is uniformly fantastic, the great parts are extremely great, and fusion/Hammer fans can buy this long out of print album with certainty...
