For the real fans.....interested in pre-Big Brother Janis. The sound is pretty great.....and it is weird to hear Janis do some trad numbers. She really shows her roots in 1920's female blues wailers in her sort of shrill blues moan. Is this before Roky Erikson met her and guided her to use her voice in newer directions? I can't say. But it sure shows her ,at this early point , using her distinctive voice to grab an audience's attention! Nice price too!
