Kansas - The Prelude Implicit (expanded)

SKU 19-IO 35470
This is the deluxe edition of Kansas' 15th studio album (also their first new studio album in 16 (!!) years), which includes 2 tracks not on the standard edition (two American standards 'recorded in the Kansas musical tradition')
Despite the personnel changes, despite Kerry Livgren no longer writing their material, despite notable vocalist Steve Walsh's departure, they still sound like Kansas compositionally and performance wise and new vocalist Ronnie Platt is close enough in range to Steve that no one getting this is going to be disappointed. It's really a good album in a Kansas album kinda way!

With a legendary career spanning more than four decades, KANSAS has firmly established itself as one of America’s iconic of classic rock bands. This "garage band" from Topeka released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner, and have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.
2016 marks the release of “The Prelude Implicit,” KANSAS’s fifteenth studio album. The wide-ranging progressive rock album is released on InsideOut Music, and marks the band’s first studio album release in 16 years.
The band, which is currently comprised of original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist/vocalist Billy Greer, keyboardist David Manion, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist David Ragsdale, guitarist Zak Rizvi, and original guitarist Richard Williams, continues to perform in front of large and enthusiastic audiences around the world."
