King, Albert - Fillmore East, NY 1971 plus Early Studio Recordings (Mega Blowout Sale)

SKU 23-Float 6286
Guitarist and vocalist Albert King is one of the major influences on modern blues and rock guitarists – his style has influenced players from Eric Clapton to Otis Rush to Stevie Ray Vaughn.
He played guitar left-handed, without re-stringing the guitar from the right-handed setup; this "upside-down" playing accounts for his difference in tone, since he pulls down on the same strings that most players push up on when bending the blues notes!
This is a relatively short (30’), very high quality recording of Albert and his soulful revue with horns, in front of the hippies at the Fillmore in 1971 and then the rest of this CD is the 1959-62 singles that were later collected into his first album, The Big Blues.
