It's been really great to see the progression of Kavus Torabi's Knifeworld, and also to see him rising to the challenges of principle songwriter and bandleader (especially a large band leader) in these times.
Kavus is a guitarist, singer and songwriter, who may be best known for his work with Cardiacs, Guapo and now Gong.
Knifeworld is his band - an 8 piece ensemble that features:

Melanie Woods - vocals
Emmett Elvin - keyboards
Chloe Herington - bassoon
Josh Perl - alto sax
Nicki Maher - tenor sax
Is it progressive trickery weirdness? Is it pleasing pop songs? Is it carefully crafted and unique? Yes. Yes. Yes, it is.
Melanie is a singular vocalist, with a great sound, and the band and the arrangements are notable, imbuing the songs with great flair and distinctive sounds.
