Mace, Pierre-Yves/Quatuor Pli - Crash Test II

SKU 00-ORKHESTRA008
Born in 1980, Pierre Yves-Mace began as an improviser, played in jazz-rock prog bands, studied classically, accompanied dance classes and has composed electronic music for theater, dance and the martial arts. This is a single composition for string quartet and cassette recorders, performed by Quatuor Pli (léa claessens, sébastien eglème, philippe berger, arnaud marcaille). Based on chance operations (tossing coins), the well-titled movement "opérations de chance" was recorded twice, and then exists in two different versions. Two different pressings of the cd have been made, each containing just one of these two versions. Nevertheless, there's also a third version, entitled "double opération de chance", and which is the mere superimposing of both already existing versions. Through it, you can deduce the version that does not appear on the CD you bought." It is available on free download here.
