Noel McGhie was generally a jazz drummer, working with Steve Lacy, Archie Shepp and others, but this reissue of a 1975 album, released on a tiny label in France, has him working in a spacey/fusion vein, with nice work from Georges Edouard Nouel-electric piano, Itaru Oki-trumpet, Jorge Joao-soprano and alto sax and Louis Xavier-bass. Not earth shaking, but if you enjoy Herbie Hancock's Sextant, Nucleus and Woody Shaw's Blackstone Legacy, you should definitely enjoy this a lot.
