Melissa were a band from Australia and Midnight Trampoline from 1971 was their only studio album. It's a pretty rare collector's item nowadays. This reissue includes a fascinating 16 page booklet.
“The style of the material is pretty diverse because the album includes elements from psych rock, early prog rock, folk and hard rock. Like some users have already mentioned the singer reminds Van Morrison quite much and the album also includes two Van Morrison covers "Young Lovers Do" and "Madame George". There are three original compositions by the band and the rest of the songs are covers.

The following bands come in mind : Jethro Tull, Cressida, Spring, but the use of keyboards is minimal.
Yes, the Morrison and Tull influences are there, but it's OK as long as they openly wear them on their sleeve and execute it with a sense of homage and in an accomplished way. Many of the rarities pushed as lost gems disappoint me, but this one doesn't.”
