Thanks to Henry Kaiser for turning me onto guitarist Tisziji, who he called sort of a Coltrane guitarist, & that is the best five word summation that could be made of Tiszijis work. You could file him in with guitarists like Sonny Sharrock, Sonny Greenwich & especially Carlos Santana, but very much in a jazz vein. Very soulful, furious & intense when its at its best. Definitely jazz, but almost always extremely enjoyable & full of energy.
