Procol Harum - Live 1971 DVD (special)

"Great DVD of early Procol Harum!!! See the late and very underated drummer B.J. Wilson in action!!! This DVD features 11 Procol Harum classics filmed for Radio Bremen and Musikladen TV specials...seeing the late B.J. Wilson rocking the skins was a major treat, one of the most under-rated drummers ever(he also plays a mean mandolin on "Grand Hotel" as well),he will remind people of Keith Moon, but he plays with a bit more technique. He's right up there with the best. Original pianist Gary Broker is also on board. The other great musicians in the group also are in top form!!! The audio and video are a bit rough, but, hey, it's an old show from 1971. A great DVD for Procol Harum fans!"-Jason P. Pumphrey

If you're a fan of 60s-70s Rock, you need this. And if you're a Procol Harum fan of any stripe, you REALLY need this. This is a chance to see them live in the studio, up close and personal. Drummer B.J. Wilson is not just Rock's most underrated, he's the best! And the rest of the band isn't too shabby either. Check out Chris Copping's wild organ playing. And has Gary Brooker ever sung one sour note in his whole career? The song selections are excellent too, featuring many you wouldn't expect them to play. Tracks 1-9 feature Dave Ball on guitar and 10-11 feature Mick Grabham. Have been looking for years for live Procol Harum footage with Robin Trower, so far no luck! And I don't agree with the Wayside reviewer - I say good picture, good sound! -T.A.
