Rabbath, a Lebanese Frenchman, is one of the real virtuosos of the double bass. These two very early albums (1963 & 1964) show off his extraordinary technique on a series of solos as well as overdubbed duos trios and quartets with and without drums/percussion. He mixes modern jazz, classical, folk and more, producing a really beautiful atmosophere.
