A very, very long time ago, when I was in High School, I was a big fan of Todd Rundgren, discovering his classic albums "A Wizard, A True Star", "Something/Anything" and "Todd" all of which were a exciting and definitely very '70s' blend of pop perfection and experimentation. Which actually sums up Todd's charms in a nutshell. In 2010, 37 years after the original 1973 release, Rundgren performed "Todd" live in its entirety for the first time ever. Joining him onstage were Utopia's Kasim Sulton (bass), The Cars' Greg Hawkes (keyboards), The Tubes' Prairie Prince (drums), Jesse Gress (guitar), Bobby Strickland (sax) and a full choir. Does this replace the original? Of course not; these things never do, but if you love the original (puts hand up), you'll love this.
