Schulze, Klaus - Live @ Klangart (expanded / remastered) 2 x CDs

Well, so much for thinking that post-70s Klaus isn't very good Klaus. This live album, recorded in 2001 definitely disproves that!

"After performances by Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream, the organizers of the KlangArt Festival invited Klaus Schulze to play in Osnabrück in 2001. The concert from the 9th of June 2001 is also the last time Schulze played in Germany, and was originally released on two separated CD's in 2001."

"It's probably one of the best and coherent live albums that KS ever released; it sounds very honest and pure."-Background

"The comfortable thing about playing with Wolfgang Tiepold is that we don't need to rehearse for a concert.I'm lucky anaway because I don't need to rehearse with any of the musicians I work with, whether it's Tiepold or Manu '(Manuel "Ashra" Göttsching) or Kagi (Thomas Kagermann). We rely on our intuition live on stage and our common interaction. For example, when Tiepold hears me playing a certain harmony, he doesn't need to have notes. And most importantly, he knows exactly when to stop playing. This is different compared to most bands wher you know when the guitarist starts playing his solo he will never stop - unless you shoot him. Rehearse also would make no sense because during the gig I would be playing something completely different anyway. Threfore, rehearsals are of no use. The only important thing is that the chemistry is right between me and the other musicians during the gig. And it's not that serious if it occasionally doesn't go off that well because you take a gamble with every concert."-Klaus Schulze
