While these last, these are over 40% the regular price. Classic, top-quality, European jazz rock from the original era!
Secret Oyster were a five piece Danish fusion/progressive supergroup of the 1970s, whose members came from the ranks of Burnin' Red Ivanhoe, Hurdy Gurdy and Coronarias Dans. This was their first album, which was released in 1973, and which, I was surprised to realize, I had never actually heard before this reissue. Having played this one a number of times now, I can say that this is really an excellent album and unlike the band's later albums, has a stronger rock feel, including some really fantastic post-psychedelic guitar work from the original 'Hurdy Gurdy Man', Claus Bohling, who Donovan wrote that song for! Recorded in the early, exploratory days of the band live to stereo tape, this one is intense and raw in a way that their other albums were not. This includes two rare bonus tracks from the same period as the album and new liner notes. Recommended!

This is some high quality smokin' poop!!!!!! Maybe remotely like Weather Report if they had an insanely brain frying guitarist. More than does the job when you need a good jazz rock fix.
