Spear, Roger Ruskin - Electric Shocks (expanded / remastered)

SKU 23-Eclec 2463
This is the first solo by the saxist and - more amazingly the robot and kinetic sculpture-making member - of the Bonzo Dog Band. This album is worth the price for the cover alone! In addition to the quite good, wacky original album, you get the entire, quite rare "Rebel Trouser" EP added on as bonus materials. Press those trousers!

"This is the first solo album by the legendary multi-instrumentalist, eccentric and former Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band member ROGER RUSKIN SPEAR.

Originally released in 1972 on the United Artists label, "Electric Shocks” carried on the wit humour and musical eccentricity that Roger had first explored with the Bonzo’s and featured musicians such as Peter Banks (Yes), The Flamin’ Groovies, Thunderclap Newman and B. J. Cole on this delightfully off-the-wall record.

This Esoteric Recordings edition has been newly re-mastered from the original master tapes and features four bonus tracks that comprised the rare 1971 EP "Rebel Trouser”. The reissue also features an illustrated booklet with new essay."
