For my tastes, The Tangent started off pretty strongly with their first album, which mixed a charming kind of Caravan-style progressive rock in song format with more modern (read neo-progressive) sounds as well. Each album was a bit less and less interesting but here - for their fifth one - he returns to that first album sound, mixing Caravan/early Camel/Canterbury song stylings strongly back into the sound. If you like that sound, this will provide a lot of pleasure.
