Nice to see their 3rd album from 1993 and the last of their 'original era' releases available again, even though the band continued/continues to be sporadically active. When Tangle Edge first emerged - seemingly out of nowhere in 1988, they were seen as the band who would simultaneously save progressive rock and psychedelia. Well, that never happened, most likely due to huge amounts of weed, they did excite and shake up a pre-internet scene. 17 years later (!) this is still a fine listen.
"Norway's Tangle Edge remains one of the more undiscovered but brilliant early progressive rock bands. 'This is a band with a type of music that's all too rare these days,' said Allen Freeman. Eulogy finds the band's unique fusion of musical invention that brings together an eclectic array of ethnic sounds. Its originality is truly special.
