A symphonic prog band that defined Flamenco progressive and were the foremost Spanish progressive band. These guys, at times, remind me a lot of King Crimson in their early days, yet were a genre in themselves. With poetically styled songs, gorgeous flamenco guitar, and a very Spanish sound, Triana are a must to try, being a very important progressive band.- Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock Well, it sure is pricey, but here is a very interesting set. The CDs are just a best-of their work, and if you are reading this, you undoubtably already own this material. However what makes this set possibly worth considering is the DVD, which is not available in any other form. It's a 55' documentary made in 1995 that features songs from 1974 - 1981 (most from up to 1979, when they were still really good) and seems to have all of their professionally filmed appearances. The nadir is their disco song from '81, which features back up chicks and the whole thing that you would expect would happen to these guys because they stuck around that late. And in an car-crash unfording before your eyes kind of way, it's great too. But mostly this is the band playing the music that we want to remember them by.
