Trioscapes - Separate Realities vinyl lp (due to size and weight, this price for the USA only. Outside of the USA, the price will be adjusted as needed)
Very limited edition vinyl version released by the band themselves. Just to be fair, we have to mention that all copies in stock have a slightly creased corner. They're still new in the shrinkwrap, but we received them from the band this way.
Trioscapes is a instrumental avant/fusion trio of sax/bass/drums. It was initiated by Dan Briggs, the bassist of the very popular Between The Buried and Me. Also featured in the group (because it's just a trio, everyone is heavily, heavily featured!) are saxist Walter Fancourt and drummer Matt Lynch. This is aggressive, ass-kicking, modern jazz/rock that includes elements of metal (it's very heavy) and elements of the avant-garde. Everyone plays really well and the whole thing holds together really well. Think of the great, under-recognized early 70s trio Back Door brought completely and utterly up to date as a jazz/rock outfit. So, just how good are these guys and how ballsy are they? The one cover here is a doozy: Celestial Terrestial Commuters from Birds of Fire by the Mahavishnu Orchestra! Highly recommended!
