Tryo are a Chilean trio with four previous albums. On those albums they played a more hard-fusion oriented sound. Here, however, like Le Orme on Florian, they have traded in their electric instruments for acoustic ones. The guitarist plays all acoustic, the bassist mostly plays cello and the drummer mostly plays percussion like vibes and marimba as well as hand drums. This has a very intimate sound, but it still manages to be progressive jazz/rock. I liked this the best of their five albums, actually, although it is obviously a lot more low-key and subtle.
