Really great to have these two post-punk/proto electronic rock classics reissued together in a nicely priced package! Tuxedomoon emerged from the cauldron of the incredibly creative San Francisco punk movement in 1979, with the 12" EP Scream With a View, which, to the best of my knowledge, has never been reissued and has been a real rarity for 25 years (yes, I own a copy of the original!). Distorted guitars, primitive drum boxes, synthesizers, vocals, electric violins, simple bass lines and an unnerving air! Shortly afterwards, they were signed by Ralph Records, who were (unsuccessfully) trying to extend their label success beyond being The Residents' label, and Half-Mute was released. "These albums were ages beyond their time and along with artists like The Residents, Devo and Talking Heads, defined the path for adventurous music of the ‘70s and ‘80s that still resonate today."
