The superior second release by this four piece band co-led by keyboardist/voalist Kurt Rongey & guitarist/vocalist Bill Pohl, who both released good indie titles in the early 90's, plus a fine rhythm section. Their first one was a very good release and this one is even better. It still has the hot playing (Bill is a fantastic guitarist who plays a bit in the Holdsworth style and Kurt rips out some excellent synth leads) and the multi-part harmonies that brought some comparisons to "Echolyn-meets-U.K", but this one is a bit tougher-edged and even maybe has a more 'out' ideas and note choices. Which probably means *I'll* like it more, but it won't do as well as their 1st. laff.
