Another great band I discovered thanks to getting to see them play, at a show where I just went 'because', not knowing anything about them and where they completely surprised me and utterly slayed!
Us, Today are a young trio from Cincinnati, OH, who play a sort of modern progressive rock with a lot of modern / hipster touches.
The unique lineup is
Kristin Agee-vibes + synths
Joel Griggs-guitar + synths
Jeff Mellott-drums
The sound is interesting, fun, rockin' and unique. The only groups I can think of that has some similarities is Algernon and, to a lesser degree, Tortoise; and the guitarist reminds me a little bit, tonally, of Glenn Phillips!
This is their 3rd and latest and best!
