Vespero are an awesomely great, space rock band from Astrakhan, south Russia, that are fully the equal of anyone working in the vein. This is the oldest recording of theirs I have seen or heard (see below). For something really different from what I’m used to with their current sound, this one features spacy female vocals!
Extremely good modern space rock with psychedelic and ethnic influences. Do you like Ozrics, Hidria Spacefolk, Korai Oram and Øresund Space Collective? You do? Meet your new favorite band!
“Originally, it was recorded in Astrakhan in June 2008 and including tracks from “Rito” and “Surpassing All Kings” and was released in 2008 on RAIG (CD-r). New edition is a silver CD in cardboard folder (Mini-LP), with new cover - art. Album includes 4 extra tracks not available anywhere else. Alexander Kuzovlev has made new mix and mastering specially for this release.
It was our last concert with great singer Natalya Tjurina, and on extra tracks you can hear one of the founders of Vespero - Valentin Rulev (violin).”
