I've said it before and I'll say it again here; for a very small country, Belgium has a huge number of great beers (for which they are internationally renowned) and great chamber-rock oriented bands (for which the crickets chirp). Ballroomquartet are indeed a quartet of Andries Boone-mandolin, violin, bulbul tarang, guitar and voice, Rony Deprins-accordion, synths, vocoder, voices and theremin, Jasper Hautekiet-double bass and electric bass and David Vertongen-drums, percussion, piano and bells. The sound has definite ties to chamber-rock, but they are more of a rock band with those influences than saying 'chamber-rock' might make you think! This is their second album and it's a good one.
