The enigmatic Cheer-Accident formed in 1981, when the members were in High School, but it wasn't until 1988 when they released their first album, Sever Roots, Tree Dies. These guys do things the hard way; they are not content to give their audience what their audience thinks they want. Hence, they can be anything from a utterly fantastic to a utterly frustrating listen, depending on what you were hoping that the record you are listening would be, based on the last album by them you heard. They are also the band that the phrase 'brutal prog' was coined for (by Weasel Walter, in the 90's). Anyway, they have long been a creative, interesting force in rock music, and we're happy to stock their releases, even though you may find them frustrating as well! This was released in 1993. "That same year, as a result of the band's growing format, they once again enlisted the services of Phil Bonnet, although this time on second guitar. In June of 1991, the new line-up recorded the band's third LP, "Babies Shouldn't Smoke". A recording that consistently expands the boundaries of rock music while never failing to rock. The same line-up that recorded "Babies" can also be heard on the PRAVDA Records compilation, "20 Explosive Dynamic Super Smash Hit Explosions!" with their decomposition of the "Theme From Shaft"."
