Compared to the more recent Wolves, this is a much more mellow affair, but it’s by no means sleepy. It’s well written and superbly played with more emphasis on the compositional.
A larger band with an expanded textural palate reminds one a little bit of Pierre Moerlin’s Gong and Frank Zappa, with more folk influences. Really completely different than Wolves, but just like Wolves, this is super good stuff.
