Flying Island were a mid 70s Connecticut, instrumental jazz/rock band who released two, sort of under the radar albums for Vanguard in 1975 and 1976. This was their second and last release.
Both are totally solid releases with good tunes and plenty of firey solo work!
Drummer Bill Bacon went on to be involved with the early rumblings of the ‘Downtown sound’, playing with Curlew, Material and New York Gong!
